Chief Diversity Officer Ainsley Thomas brought 20 students representing grades 8-12 from the Tony Clement Center for Education (TCCE) to campus on April 21 for an automotive lab tour with Associate Professor George Raneri during Applied Technologies Spring Career Day. In addition to the tour of the automotive program facilities, the students were able to meet more than 30 employers looking to hire part-time and full-time employees.
Students observed engine blocks, autobody repair, project cars built by the school’s automotive club, and looked at electric and autonomous vehicle design and function. The tour was made possible with support from Vice President Louis Coplin and his assistant, Kelly Bunkley, EOP Counselor Michelle Cavaleri, and Elise Chan, counselor, and Selissa Dukes, technical assistant, both in Admissions.
